About us The International Initiative Committee "WORLD TRANSFORMATION" started its work in Kazakhstan in march, 1998, with target to bring forth the organization of the "Great Worldwide Forum:Millenniums:Results and Prospects". Our main document is The Proclamation on Holding the Worldwide Forum, had been published on May 12, 1998. At that time we had absolutely no information about the existence of a similar movement, so, we decided to fill this gap.At present, we cooperate with the majority of national cultural centers in the Republic of Kazkhstan, as well as the contacts with the official leaders of the country and the mayors of the cities, regions ( the administrative - territorial units). We also have contacts with the leaders of religious communities in Kazakhstan. The branches of our committee in Central-Asian region are being established. We keep close contacts with the Forum Executive Committee among Non-Governmental Organization under the UN, by meeting the New Millennium, as well as with a great number of international organizations, working in this field, including MPAN.
The tendency of just, humane attitude, strengthened thanks to material and intellectual achievements, in modern world permanently confronts with social relations, rooted in the past, based on the gain for profit - the origin of all troubles. We suppose that, if we have the organizing element, the objective prerequisites, i.e. accumulated material and intellectual resources, the availability of good manifestations, people's expectations and desire to live new life in the new century, will allow us during the transition period to the New Millennium, start the transformation of social relations now prevailing on Earth, into humane ones. The Committee works on convincing others to implement the above stated principles, during the transition period, in the frameworks of the process under the name of "the process of human relations transition". Preserving the purity of our thoughts, we avoid material or any dependence on the state or other institutions. Our activity is to keep neutral policy and attempts to involve to our movement every volunteer. The Committee office is situated in the former capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty. The permanent staff includes about 15 people, most of whom speak Kazakh, Russian, and partially English. Besides, we cooperate with part-timers and volunteers including politicians, cultural figures, scientists. The office is equipped with all office appliances, communication devices, has round o'clock Internet and e-mail access. We have our own monthly issued publishing organ, of which we are co-founders. As far as about arranging the Forum on transformation of the relations on the Earth, so our committee has its own draft. It had been published many times, spread out on the World Meeting of the Democrat Journalists (May 1998, Moscow), on presentation of Astana-the new capital of Kazakhstan(June1998), had been presented to the participants of the conference by the meeting of the new millennium(Oregon, August 1998, USA), discussed on the meeting of public figures, scientists in San-Francisco(August 1998), and on the December meeting in the UN by NGOs (New York, 1998). Our point of view about the world transformation is published in article "Ensuring Peace Becomes the Norm" in the first issue of "United Nations Chronicle” magazine for 1999. Since December of 1998, the committee has become the Coordinator of the "Millennium" Forum, under the UN to the Central Asia.
